When rescue looks like a whole lot of trouble . . .

The road trip was definitely a bad idea. Having already flambéed her culinary career beyond recognition, Rita Clarkson is now stranded in God-Knows-Where, New Mexico, with a busted-ass car and her three temperamental siblings, who she hasn't seen in years. When rescue shows up---six-feet-plus of hot, charming sex on a motorcycle---Rita's pretty certain she's gone from the frying pan right into the fire . . .

Jasper Ellis has a bad boy reputation in this town, and he loathes it. The moment he sees Rita, though, Jasper knows he's about to be sorely tempted. There's something real between them. Something raw. And Jasper has only a few days to show Rita that he isn't just for tonight---he's forever.

So What Did I Think Of Too Hot To Handle by Tessa Bailey?

This story had an interesting premise, though it took me a minute to get into it, once the stage was set and the love interests Rita and Jasper met sparks flew everywhere and I was very interested to continue. The story was set up around a set of siblings on a cross country road trip to fulfill their mother’s last wish.

There was a strong drama present at the beginning with all of the issues Rita, the oldest sister, and her siblings faced not being as close and trying to figure out how to deal with each other, each of them dealing with their own issues and their past. Once the story got started it was easy for me to get into the story, wanting to figure out the issues of the Clarkson family as well as the quick romantic development of Rita and Jasper.

On top of the family issues, was the romance between Rita and the town renounced playboy Jasper. When the siblings car broke down and Jasper came by and helped them there was this instant and strong connection with Rita that lit up the pages. It was very interesting how both Jasper and Rita dealt with the same issues of inadequacy but on different sides of the spectrum, which made their relationship so interesting and exciting to me. Their relationship began quickly but was packed with so much emotion and connection.

I really loved how even though the chemistry was instantly there, there was still a strong development and a very nice slow burn of sexual tension. I felt the devotion that Jasper had for Rita and Rita’s struggle to really listen to her feelings for him. Jasper was strong, understanding and determined all great qualities plus such a dirty mouth that I enjoyed very much! Rita was tormented but still strong, independent, talented though vulnerable and relatable and she really gave Jasper a challenge. When they got together they really blazed white hot. Filled with emotion, strong and sweet bonding and very very sexy, sexy times.

I really enjoyed their journey to love and understood all of the struggles that they faced to get over their past issues as well as trying to understand what their future held. They really went on a journey of discovery of themselves as well a romantic journey to really take a chance on love. Overall I really enjoyed reading Too Hot To Handle by Tessa Bailey and seriously can’t wait for the next Clarkson sibling’s journey of finding love!
