Ignazio Vitale is not a good man.
I suspect it, the first time I see him, sense the air of danger that surrounds the man. He has a way of commanding attention, of taking control, of knowing what I'm thinking before I even do.
It's alarming and alluring. It's dark and deadly. It's everything I've ever wanted but the last thing I truly need. Obsession.
It doesn't take him long to draw me into his web, charming me into his bed and trapping me in his life, a life I know nothing about until it's too late. He has secrets, secrets I can't fathom, secrets that make it so I can't walk away, no matter how much I beg him to let me go. I see it sometimes in his eyes, a darkness that's both terrifying and thrilling. He's a monster, wrapped up in a pretty package, and what I find when I unmask him changes everything.
I want to hate him.
Sometimes, I do.
But it doesn't stop me from loving him, too.
There was super high anticipation for me at when the crazy situations would happen between Karissa and Naz and how they would happen which made things very suspenseful. I was defintely pulled into Karissa and Naz’s complex dark journey at falling in love.
Karissa was a bit innocent and naive but she had a bit of edge to her that I liked in being willing to tangle with a man like Naz, overall I liked her voice. Naz was passionate, intense, mysterious, dark and dangerous, just like I wanted him to be. He kept me guessing through out the story as Karissa got to know his softer and darker side. Naz was not someone to mess around with and he defiantly made that clear.
The drama was captivating, Karissa and Naz had this instant blazingly intense connection that blindsided them both and burnt up the pages. I knew the danger was gonna hit Karissa hard but the way things went down, how Naz showed who he truly was and how it involved Karissa had me pleasantly shocked. It really developed the story into a much more complex dark way that I loved.
I loved how Karissa developed into a stronger more complex girl, finding out who she really was and who she wanted to be and able to face off with Naz who was such a strong, dominant person becoming stronger herself. My only issue was that when things hit the peak of intensity and excitement it ended in a damn cliffhanger, leaving me completely hanging. With the edginess, danger, blazing romance, intense drama and compelling characters that completely pulled me in Monster in His Eyes by J. M. Darhower was a Delicious read. I can’t wait to see how Karissa and Naz’s story will end.
