Family.
I have tattooed that single word on more skin than I care to count. It elicits powerful thoughts and emotions for most people.
Loving. Caring.
Supportive. Togetherness.
Forever.
But not for me. The word family means so much more.
Vicious. Harmful.
Dangerous. Corrupt.
Deadly.
You can’t run forever from the ones who love you.

Literary Cravings So What Did I Think?

The first chapter was really intense and harsh and sucked me in, I really wanted to know more. There was suspense and danger elements from Keller’s messed up past with her family and the motorcycle club. She went through some messed up things at such a young age and by people she thought cared about her that I really felt for her and I was happy that she kept her wits about her.

There was this sweet connection that developed with Keller and Vic that I liked and wanted to see developed more. The danger built to a crazy climax that had my full attention. I really didn’t know if things were gonna turn out well for Keller or if she was even gonna turn out alive. I wasn’t feeling Hold at all but what he did for Keller he took a moment to really care about her need over his own. But he had major problems and I’m happy Keller recognized it and knew she couldn’t really be with him.

The suspense was high as Keller fought for her freedom and to maintain in with the threat of the motorcycle catching her hovering over her. The romance the bloomed with Vic was sweet but quickly built to a solid connection. I really like how their relationship grew from friendship giving them time to get to know each other, though I would have liked to see more of that growth. In the end I ended up really liking Beautiful Ink by Nicole Reed.
