Sizzling – Strong Chemistry – Captivating Drama – Intriguing Characters – Intense Story
I really enjoyed entering the world of Thea Harrison’s Elder Races again and found Tess and Xavier’s journey to be very interesting filled with drama and danger. The world of the Elder Races was vast and complex following Tess as she dealt with being a wanted woman. The drama was captivating as Tess, a human in a world filled with these strong, deadly supernatural beings, found herself hunted by one of the deadliest creatures and seeking protection from another dangerous being, Xavier.
I was really interested in how Tess would navigate working for Xavier while trying to say clear of her old boss and it turned out to be very entertaining. Xavier being the right hand man to the leader of the Elder Races had him dealing with some crazy drama as well. As Tess worked for Xavier it was great to see both of their perceptions of each other slowly begin change as a friendship began and blossomed into this sizzling romance.
Dealing with all these supernatural creatures there was bound to be some action and there defiantly was some action but was I wished it was more, more vicious, more gritty especially during the big climax. I felt that things wrapped up to quickly. Other than that I really enjoyed Night’s Honor by Thea Harrison.
