I was completely pulled into Thronos and Lanthe’s story. The adventure was vastly wild, crazy, engaging, dangerous and filled with delicious drama. There was so much drama between Lanthe and Thronos and it was dripping with so much great emotion with their harsh history and crazy present. I completely felt for all that they went through with each other from innocent warm friendship to bitter hatred to strong vengeance to blazing passion. Even though their past was messed up and they hated each other I loved watching as the crazy situations forced Thronos and Lanthe together (besides the fact that Thronos was actively hunting Lanthe down) and they had to work together to get home. It was great that during their journey they both got to really know each other and was force to see the truth about themselves forming this strong connection.
There was such blazing passion within their relationship it was so undeniable, emotional and complex. But I loved that they did struggle and fight with their feelings so much that when they finally gave into their feelings it was much more intense. The action scenes were many, no holds bar vicious and dangerous and what I really, really liked to see. All the characters were so complex and compelling grabbing and holding my attention. They were such badass powerful beings in their own right that it was fascinating to read.
Loved, loved the snark between Lanthe and Thronos. Lanthe was such a great character, bold, sassy badass with vulnerabilities and emotions that had me understanding her and what she was going through. She wasn’t afraid to be who she was and stand up for herself with Thronos and anyone who got in her way. Thronos was a hard, strong, bold, very sexy alpha male with his determination to have Lanthe that totally made me melt. Even though he was this strong, sexy capable alpha male he too had vulnerabilities and issues that he needed to resolve and was willing to do what was needed to make things right for Lanthe and his people and that made me really feel him. I love how they were both strong characters and how they played off each other, push and pulled, challenging each other ultimately going wild for each other, not afraid to hold their own and be who they were.
With great pacing, world building, crazy adventure, captivating drama, compelling characters, blazing romance Dark Skye by Kresley Cole was a Delicious read and I can’t wait for the next installment of the Immortals After Dark series.
