My name is Tate.
He doesn't call me that, though. He’ll barely refer to me at all, and he’ll hardly ever speak to me.
But he still won't leave me alone.
We were best friends once. Then he turned on me and made it his mission to ruin my life. I've been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got worse as time wore on. I even went to Europe for a year, just to avoid him.
But I'm done hiding from him now, and there's no way I'll allow him to ruin another year. He might not have changed, but I have.
It's time to fight back.

Loved the drama between Tate and Jared. I was instantly turning the pages to see what would happen next between these two! There was so much tension between them, at first they hated each other and I felt the tension and hate between them and confusion at what really went down since they were such close friends when they were younger. It had to have been something crazy for them to be at each others throats the way they were. And at each others throats they were!
I loved how the tension slowly formed into sexual tension and even though Tate started to have these feelings for Jared she played it smart and didn’t forget all the messed up things that he did to her. No, it took awhile for her to warm up to him and even then she still didn’t really trust him and watched her back around him. Even with her lustful feeling forming toward him.
Oh, the trials and tribulations that Tate and Jared went through. The romance between them sizzled and quickly turned blazing. When they put aside the mass issues they had with their relationship and let the feelings that connected them together take over it was hot, hot, hot!
I have no tolerance for bullies so Penelope Douglas had her work cut for her to make me like Jared. Like Tate in the beginning I disliked Jared but as the story progressed and I started to learn more about him and his issues and the reasons why he acted the way he did I started to understand him a little. He had a lot of work to do to mend the relationship he had with Tate and I really enjoyed him make the effort.
Tate was such a strong character that overcame a lot of messes that happened to her throughout the years. She had such vulnerability in the beginning dealing with all the crap that was handed to her and I totally felt for her but she didn’t let the vulnerability overtake her. After a year away from all the drama surrounded her she toughened up and faced her problems and tormentors head on which I commended her for cause I know that facing your bully is one hard thing to do. Especially if that bully was once your best friend that you totally cared about.
My one issue was towards the very end of the story. Something huge and devastating happened that to Tate and Jared that tore at my heart and I was waiting for Tate to bring down the smack down of vengeance which was totally warranted given the situation but… it didn’t happen. I felt that the situation was resolved way to quickly. The situation was that huge and totally messed up. I felt like they need more resolution then what they got and the story could have been longer cause I was defiantly enjoying it. I just wished this situation could have been fleshed out more.
I really enjoyed Tate and Jared story, it was a really emotional ride filled with tension, romance and growth. I really enjoyed reading how Jared and Tate grew to become better versions of themselves and during that process found love.
