Literary's Views

Dominic was a very wild in your face ride filled with edge and drama that instantly pulled me in. I loved that the story was set in Ireland, it was great to get to know all of their unique interesting ways and sayings. The story was told in first person from Bronagh, who’s main focus was to stay invisible and things was going her way until new American students Dominic and Damien enrolled in her high school and that’s when her world went totally upside down. The writing was fast paced and gritty, there was no sugar coating how things went down, Bronagh told it like it was and l liked that.

This was a real character driven story which I really enjoyed. Bronagh went from being this anti-social girl to being thrusted into the spotlight and had to deal with first love and all that came with it. Now Dominic was this tough, dominant, dangerous guy who went hard for what he wanted and ignored anything in his way. He had strong ties with family and he had huge jerk tendencies when it came to Bronagh but I was so happy that she handled him. They had this huge enemies relationship in the beginning, they didn’t like each other and they weren’t afraid to let each other know it. But it didn’t take long for the intense hate they felt for each other to turn into passion and what made things work for me was that Bronagh didn’t take any of Dominic’s crap, she demanded respect and didn’t let any one walk all over her. Bronagh was a strong independent girl who I got, I liked her smart mouth and her sarcastic personality, she wasn’t afraid to say how she felt.

Even though Dominic and Bronagh hated each other the sexual tension between them kept on building. Though it’s obviously a romance about Bronagh and Dominic it wasn’t all about that, Bronagh experienced much other things like friendship, going out with other guys and really opening herself to the world. When Dominic got his act together and they both finally acknowledged their feelings for each other and things were blazing hot. There was violence and danger which made things more exciting and how it all tied back to Dominic’s family with his brothers and their mysterious past. Overall Dominic by L. A. Casey was a yummy read that I ended up really enjoying.
