At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her--and she's forced to decide what her next move should be.

Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

A passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance, Maybe Someday will immerse readers in Sydney's tumultuous world from the very first page.

Literary's Views

I was looking forward to a nice romance filled with characters that drew me into their story. Now I was pleasantly surprised at how the story ultimately turned out. The romance between Sydney and Ridge was point blank complicated from the beginning, filled with emotional angst and drama. They both understood that the overwhelming feelings they had for each other was wrong given the situation they found themselves in. It was crazy the emotions the Ridge and Sydney dealt with as they realized that they couldn’t be together and they tried denying the feelings that continued to grow.

The connection that they felt during their music sessions was defiantly hot, bordering on sizzling. So much sexual tension with Sydney and Ridge trying to work together while keeping their relationship strictly platonic. With the way that things were written with the dual point of views I got to know and understand what they were going through and their internal views at what was happening. I loved how different Ridge and the opportunity to see his unique views and ways but in the end but how he was just a normal guy dealing with these hard situations. He didn’t make all of the right decisions but he was genuine and real and endearing. I felt for Sydney and all she and to deal with and get though, I couldn’t be completely mad at them because in the end they did make mistakes but they tried to do the right thing and was upfront and realistic about it.

Overall Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover was a deliciously emotional powerhouse that completely hit me. There was such turmoil and struggle as Sydney and Ridge battled over doing the right thing listening to their head over their hearts and I was invested in their journey. Things were flawed and the relationship had its challenges but thats what I loved about it.
