Lion Breed and enforcer Rule Breaker has just a few rules he doesn’t break. Not for anything. Not for anyone—like never have sex with a woman outside his own breed, especially a human woman. Especially someone too helpless, too fun loving and too full of life to ever be able to protect herself, let alone help him to protect her.

If the damned animal inside him insists on a mate, then why pick her? A woman who is an easy target and who can be used as a weapon against him at any time. But what he suspects is mating heat may not be that at all. Just his animal instincts rioting, pacing, irritated whenever he's away from her.

Okay, he can handle that.

What ensues is a fiery affair that breaks all the rules of mating heat and will eventually endanger his mate with the very rules designed to protect the Breeds—for she’s possibly been working against them...

Literary's Views

Wow what an emotional power house story Rule Breaker by Lora Leigh was. It had the intriguing story, compelling characters and blazing hot romance that I love. I have been reading the Breed series from the start and I have been really enjoying the wild ride that each story builds.

In Rule Breaker we have a lion breed who refuses to entertain the thought of having a mate and I knew I was in for an exciting ride and I was right. Rule like mostly all the breeds is a very dominant, hard and focused on getting equality for all the breeds and I have to say that I loved his intensity and he defiantly brought the heat. Though some of his actions had my irritation flaring at how blinded he was when it came to love and needed to wake up, quick, which happily he did. Gypsy was just what Rule needed, she was a strong and willing to fight for her beliefs and go head to head with Rule though still have vulnerabilities that she need to overcome and grow just like Rule.

The relationship between Rule and Gypsy was so intense and complicated, filled with so much drama that interwove nicely with the story that I was swept up in all of it. The romance and intensity between them was blazing hot. The power of wills game that they played as two strong dominant characters was fascinating to read as they figured out their growing relationship that neither one was looking for but was undeniable from the moment they met which was so fun to read. With the Breeds establishing themselves within society things are getting all the much more complicated as they fight for equality as well as the fight to save Jonas’s daughter.

Overall Rule Breaker by Lora Leigh was a delicious read. I really loved all of the conflicts and blazing romance and can’t wait to read what happens next.
