Two opponents must confront the cause of their obsessive fury in the latest Novel of the Elder Races…
As a harpy, Sentinel Aryal is accustomed to dealing with hate, but Sentinel Quentin Caeravorn manages to inspire in her a burning ire unlike anything she’s ever known. Aryal believes the new Sentinel to be a criminal, and vows to take him out as soon as the opportunity arises. But the harpy’s incessant wrath has pushed Quentin to the limit, and forces him to make a deadly vow of his own.
To put an end to the conflict, Dragos, Lord of the Wyr, sends them on a reconnaissance mission to the Elven land of Numenlaur. Forced to work together, Aryal and Quentin’s mutual antagonism escalates. Each fight draws forth more passion—culminating in an explosively sexual confrontation. But when their quest reveals real danger, Aryal and Quentin must resolve their differences in ways beyond the physical, before the entire Wyr is threatened.
The tension was so thick between Aryal and Quentin. I really felt the animosity both of them felt with each other, they really hated each other so I was exited to see how they would connect and eventually fall in love.
With Thea Harrison’s creation of The Elder Races and all of the history laced with the characters their back story is interesting so it was exciting getting to know Aryal and Quentin’s back story and how they fit into the overall story. They’re both such strong compelling characters and they clash so beautifully.
The connection that Quentin and Aryal had of the bat was filled with passion, going from hate to like to love. I really enjoyed the complexity of their relationship.
Exploring more of the enriched world that Thea Harrison created filled with mystery that wan’t obvious and potential danger at every turn. The action between Aryal and Quentin’s beginning animosity to their growing attraction all the while dealing with their assignment showcased plenty of action and adventure.
Kinked by Thea Harrison turned out to be a great story filled with intensity and adventure. I was swept up by Aryal and Quentin story and their journey in finding love.
