The severed head marked by a distinctive tattoo on its cheek should have been a Guild case, but dark instincts honed over hundreds of years of life compel the vampire Dmitri to take control. There is something twisted about this death, something that whispers of centuries long past...but Dmitri's need to discover the truth is nothing to the vicious strength of his response to the hunter assigned to decipher the tattoo.

Savaged in a brutal attack that almost killed her, Honor is nowhere near ready to come face to face with the seductive vampire who is an archangel's right hand, and who wears his cruelty as boldly as his lethal sensuality...the same vampire who has been her secret obsession since the day she was old enough to understand the inexplicable, violent emotions he aroused in her.

As desire turns into a dangerous compulsion that might destroy them both, it becomes clear the past will not stay buried. Something is hunting...and it will not stop until it brings a blood-soaked nightmare to life once more...

First Impressions

It’s true when they say you’re past always catches up with you. Even if you’re a vampire.

Thoughts

Dmitri and Honor’s romance instantly turned hot the moment they locked eyes on each other and I totally felt the heat.

The drama within the story was complex in both Dmitri and Honor’s love life as well as the story itself.

While I enjoyed the story’s drama which brought Honor and Dmitri together, I felt it over shadowed the actual romance. During the end of the story Singh introduce an element that was being implied throughout the story that I wished would have happened sooner adding more to the romantic drama. Giving more balance with the romance and story.

Within the Guild Hunter series Dmitri always caught my attention and I was excited to read his tale and I have to say he didn’t disappoint. He had so much edge he left me shivering for more.

For the things that Hunter had to deal with she was a very strong diverse character and I enjoyed her going head to head with Dmitri as well as her vulnerabilities.

Overall

Overall Archangel’s Blade was a great yummy story that I enjoyed. While the romance took a bit of a back seat to the drama of Dmitri and Honor’s lives it didn’t take away from the overall quality. The journey they went through wasn’t smooth and I enjoyed going on the crazy ride.
