During the rule of her murderous Dark Fae uncle, Thistle "Tricks" Periwinkle found sanctuary among the Wyr in New York. Her ethereal beauty and sparkling personality won the hearts of the public, but after her uncle's death, there are those who don't want to see her ascend the throne...

Able to wield thunder and lightning, Wyr sentinel Tiago Black Eagle has ruled the skies for centuries. His massive build and thunderous power make him one of the Wyr's best weapons. And he's the one sent to protect Tricks when she's almost assassinated in Chicago.

Soon, both Tiago and Tricks will fall prey to the stormy hunger that engulfs them- a passion that will shake the very foundation of all the worlds.

First Impressions

Thea Harrison created such a great supernatural world filled with complex characters in a complex world where the normal and paranormal coexist. I couldn’t wait to dive into Storm’s Heart and learn more about the characters and their world.

What Worked

The Romance: An inferno, there was so much connection between Tiago and Tricks that they burned up the pages. I was ok with the quickness of their romance because they had prior history.

The Action: From the first page I was hit with action and intrigue from the characters and their fantastical world. Not once did I lose interest.

The Mystery: An enigma, with the various characters and their involvement it wasn’t as predictable to find out who really wanted Tricks dead.

The Drama: I enjoyed learning more about the Elder Races and how Tiago & Tricks navigated that world as well as their growing romance.
The Lore: I feel Ms. Harrison did a great job creating the Elder Races, mixing the mythical creatures and their back story with the modern world. Refreshing to see the mythical creatures known to humans.

Characters: Tricks: Sassy modern day Fey. Enjoyed her sassy, upfront modern ways. Tiago: Alpha Male with amazing wingspan. Loved the devotion to help Tricks and his feelings for her.

In Storm’s Heart, Thea Harrison was able to capture my attention and interest, leading me on a fantastic adventure filled with love and navigating the dangerous world of the Elder Races. I enjoyed every moment of Tricks and Tiago’s journey and I look forward to more stories about the Elder Races.
