The breed guaranteed Mica no harm would come to her, but they never allowed for her sensual fascination with Navarro, or his unstoppable need to claim her as his mate, in both body and soul.

Review

I really enjoyed Lora Leigh’s breed series. They are filled with action, adventure and super hot romance with characters that I can’t help but connect with.  I was hooked from the beginning and I’m glad to say that I’m still hooked.

What worked for me in Navarro’s Promise was that even though this is first a love story between two people, Ms. Leigh has this ability of creating these complicated characters with vastly different lives and emotional baggage and places them in these crazy action packed situations that I can’t help but feel for them. These interesting compelling characters is what drives the story for me. Ms. Leigh takes the predictable romance; boy falls for girl and turns it on its head. Because adventure is not that they get together but how to they come together. I never know how it will happen. How will they overcome their differences to be ultimately be together? Are they really meant to be together besides what mother nature forces upon them? These are the questions that have me filliping the pages to find out Navarro and Mica’s answers.

I enjoyed the new development happening within the breeds which is keeping things new and interesting.  The romance between Mica and Navarro is hot, and steamy and believable.  It was good that there was a long history between them and not love at first sight.  It gave the story substance as well as added to the intensity of the story.  I can’t wait to read about the developments of the breeds as they continue to fight for peace and equality in the world.

Things didn’t come easy for Navarro and Mica, true the passion and desire for each other was there since the beginning, that wasn’t what it was all about.  It was about trusting each other and whether or not they would work as a couple being two head strong individuals.  If they were really ready to lay everything on the line for the other.

Overall I really enjoyed Navarro’s Promise by Lora Leigh. Adult readers interested in a hot, intense paranormal romance should give Navarro’s Promise a read.
