How far will Rose go to keep her promise?
The recent Strigoi attack at St. Vladimir’s Academy was the deadliest ever in the school’s history, claiming the lives of Moroi students, teachers, and guardians alike. Even worse, the Strigoi took some of their victims with them. . . including Dimitri.

He’d rather die than be one of them, and now Rose must abandon her best friend, Lissa—the one she has sworn to protect no matter what—and keep the promise Dimitri begged her to make long ago. But with everything at stake, how can she possibly destroy the person she loves most?

Love the cover!! It has all the drama and mystery that makes me want to open the book and start reading.

Review

With this newest installment to the Vampires Academy series I had some high expectations. I was gratefully happy that it was met after reading this book.  The story had it all, engaging three dimensional characters, detailed scenery and plot. I don’t want to get into too much detail because I fear it would totally ruin the story for those few who haven’t read this amazing series. And to all of you I say go out and start this series you will not be disappointed!!!! It’s filled with so much action, so much drama while the main character Rose and her friends are so down to earth and believable despite all the supernatural elements.  I feel in this installment there was a lot of growth within Rose in finding out who she was against all of the odd stacked against her.  There was so much drama with love and the ultimate price one pays in the face of doing what’s in ones heart and whets right.  Majority of the time those things are not the same. I felt that Rose made the right choice in the end though it was a very hard one. All in All this story had everything romance, intrigue, drama leaving me wanting the next book to hurry up and come out!!! I strongly recommend this series!!!
